Facebook marketing mistakes
Facebook marketing is a great way to give a boost to your business. Many people consider Facebook as their main source of business due to an immense social presence and most number of active users any specific time.
Facebook, although look pretty straightforward to use for personal preference, if you are referring about the same straightforwardness in terms of the marketing perspective, then you may be amazed that it’s not that simple anymore.
Mistakes that are commonly made in Facebook by businesses to promote their idea and model among people must be detected and rectified. Otherwise, all those man hours spend in marketing your content through Facebook will be lost in vain, and we sure don’t want to do that, DO We.
Not being Social is a mistake
Most of the businesses update their page with regular content in the form of new updates, offers, or any announcement in general, but what most of them lacking which should be the center of your strategy is not being social in a social media. Simply put, a majority of people in Social media are peopling with no interest in your business what so ever.
Most of them on Facebook is not available in a professional capacity. So your content should be either help them up, talking about some new features or if nothing suits you at the moment, just get engaged with your people through groups and rooms. This will bring more good to you than you can imagine.
Ignoring Facebook Analytics is a mistake
Analytics is there for you and it’s free, so why not use it. There are thousands of ways you can be benefitted from analytics, but at the most basic level, it will tell you about the time of the day when most people visit Facebook.
Those hours are important for you to post something about your business like the cool discount, your product in general, or anything else which you think brings excitement to the users.
Not boosting post is a mistake
Boost post, at least once a month. It’s fairly affordable as well. What most businesses especially small and non-profit think of themselves as starters and not pick this feature at all! Even not after 2-3 years.
This is defiantly a mistake made by many of us. Boosting post is so effective for a small business than it is for larger ones. You should at least boost your posts every month for one year, and then if your follower increased, you should get more confidence on boosting more, this is how it goes and it should be availed.
Buying Likes is a mistake
If you are thinking about it buying links, then this is for you, it’s a mistake. Facebook doesn’t like those pages that get an outstanding amount of false likes to their page, and what they do in return, they unpublished the page. So it’s definitely a no go. If you want to get people like your page, you have to go through old fashioned way; Just publish good content!

Post inconsistency is a mistake
That one is biggest, cause not only it effects your business, but all the time you spend on Facebook writing good post, engaging with your customers, all go down to waste if your post publishing frequency decreases. It’s not easy to be consistent, but don’t delay a month or two after each post you published. This must be avoided as much as possible.
