What New Features and Upgrades We can expect from Galaxy S9
The world has witnessed the launch of S-Series, Samsung became the king of smartphones. Introduced in September 2016, Samsung S7 was spurred by a battery flaw. About 60% of the faulty cell phones were recovered by the company. The flaws were supposedly rectified in the next launched gadget, Samsung S-8. However, various issues have been reported regarding the malfunctioning of S8. All the hopes of people now lie with the much awaited upcoming gadget of Samsung, that is, Samsung S9.
According to news sources, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is already under development.
Customers do not expect any major in the design from S8 to S9. The unique smooth and uninterrupted surface of S8 came as a surprise for everyone. The phone was completely redesigned. The home button is embedded under the screen, providing unobstructed and larger view. This raises our hopes from S9. Sources say that there is probability of change in position of rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. We have seen the concept of curved edges in Samsung Galaxy S8 and apparently expect to see the same in S9.
Gorgeous look and excellent construction quality come as a perk when we talk about much-awaited release of Samsung S9. It is believed to run on Android 7.0 (Nougat) and 5.7 inches 2160 x 3840 pixels display screen.
Samsung S9, as rumored, will feature Al 21-megapixel rear cameras. To capture photographs in low light, it provides dual tone LED flash.
It will have 1.9GHz octa-core processor and is supposed to offer 6GB Random Access Memory and 128 internal memory.
Sources reveal that Samsung will implement iris scanner in the Samsung Galaxy S9 for better security. This feature is missing in Samsung S8. Samsung S9 characterizes Li-Ion 4200 mAh non-removable battery.
The customer expects the implementation of some new features in this phone. There have been rumors that Galaxy S9 may be the first fully foldable phone by Samsung. A Samsung executive revealed that the company has been trying to build a foldable screen from past many years. If this happens then, 2018 would be a major boost to the South Korean company and may change the way we use our phones forever.
Samsung phones are well known for the large screen phones they provide. They offer no alternative to Android in comparison the iPhone SE. Instead, the company has the Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus for the mid-sized and larger phone lovers out there. There are people who may not want to have a phone with large screen. Therefore, to meet the expectations of all the users, we expect Samsung to release a phone with a smaller display or offer up a third version that includes a smaller screen.
It’s clear Samsung wanted to move the fingerprint sensor under the screen for the Galaxy S8, but didn’t have enough time to make it work. Instead, Samsung included a touch-sensitive home button under the display, which is useful, but we’d like to see the company go the full way and include a fingerprint sensor below the screen.
Mobile phones have become necessity rather than a luxury. There are ample of companies selling cell phones having almost the same features. In such a scenario, it becomes all the more important for the phone to be pocket-friendly and affordable. People tend to purchase the phones which are suitable to their pockets. However, Samsung phones are usually expensive. For example, Samsung has had to increase the price for the Galaxy S8, making it one of the most expensive flagship phones on the market. If you’re buying it as part of a two-year deal it’s not as expensive as you’d expect, but we’d like to see Samsung reduce the price for next year’s phone if at all possible.
When it comes to selecting a phone, the camera quality clarity becomes very important. Samsung is known for providing good and high mega pixel camera in their phones. However, it couldn’t meet up to the expectations of people.
Rumours for the Galaxy S8 suggested Samsung was working on a dual-lens shooter like the iPhone 7 Plus or the LG G6 but it never came to fruition. Considering the camera improvements on the Galaxy S8 seem to be rather limited it would be great for Samsung to push the camera tech in the phone to a dual-lens setup on the Galaxy S9.
Back in late 2016, Samsung licensed a new glass coating technology that makes water bounce off your smartphone screen. Samsung plans to include this tech in an upcoming phone, so it may mean the Galaxy S9 is much easier to use in the rain.
The phone will probably be released in March 2018 and will cost probably $720, £689, AU$1,199. Not much is known about the Samsung Galaxy S9, but the concept of the phone looks quite promising and the best part is that it will supposedly rectify the flaws in S8.
