When it comes to Photoshop, getting any and all tips can help in making the use of Photoshop a lot easier. Knowing where to look or go to get these Photoshop tips is important. As you get the various tips you need to make a document that keeps them all. This will allow you to be able to reference them at any time. This is great, especially when you keep tips that you don’t use any regularly, because you can review them when they come up.
The first tip is to consider taking a Photoshop class if you are going to be using Photoshop on a regular basis. Community colleges may offer not credit classes that include Photoshop. There also may also be technical schools that offer non credit Photoshop classes as well to the public. This is a great way to get some great tips and suggestions. Not only will the instructor be able to help you, but you will get suggestions from other students. You may also learn other ways to do the same thing you are doing another way. The new way may be easier or feel more natural.
Secondly, if you work somewhere that others use Photoshop you might consider asking them for tips and suggestions. It could be they have found things that work to help you when working with Photoshop. Unless you work as a freelancer or a small company, there will more than likely be others who have used Photoshop, whether it was for work or pleasure. These people will more than likely have tips and ideas that can help you out. Again, taking these tips that you get from others and classes you may take and putting them in one place that you will look each time you are working with Photoshop will be important.
Third, when all else fails, try using the help option that is provided in Photoshop. It may be able to tell you an easier way to do something. Many times we think that by using help we will be told how to do it and it will be difficult to do. That may not always be the case. Or if you were able to get a manual of some sort with the software, you might consider keeping it handy when you are working on with Photoshop. You can even consider going to the software website and see what they have to offer when it comes to working with Photoshop. They may have links or suggestions themselves that can be quite useful.
Fourth, don’t be afraid to try different things when it comes to working with Photoshop. Play around with the software; you never know what you may come across when you do that. You may find an easier way to do something. You may also find out other things you had never thought about either. Don’t be afraid of the software, get out there and try new things. It is always a good idea to practice on something that you are not going to be using for public display. Play around with and get use to the software before you really have to get down with a project. When you are willing to just try something and not stressed about a project, you will find out what all you can do with the software, that it is really your friend and not your enemy.
Finally, if you attend a class you will usually get a book to go with the class. If you do not care for the book consider buying a different book. Or if you don’t take a class, but feel you need a reference book of some sort, considering buying a book. Go to any book store or your bigger stores that carry everything included to look for a book. It will be important to look for a book that will be one that encourages you to want to use it. If you know what to look for it will make searching a lot easier. You can also go to online stores that sell books as well and see what they have to offer. Another option would be to see what the places that provide non credit training has to offer when it comes to a book.
If you are a freelancer, networking can help make a difference in how you view the software. You may be willing to ask other freelancers what they do when working with the software. Also, don’t be afraid to try something new and see how it goes. If it doesn’t feel natural you can always try something else. There may be tricks also that work with other software programs that may also work with Photoshop, so don’t be afraid to try those as well. Photoshop can be a lot of fun once you know how it works.
